Swarland Avenue Surgery will only accept Shared Care Agreements (SCA) from other NHS organisations where we can ensure quality and continuity of care.
We will process referrals to private providers under the ‘Right to Choose’ pathway; however, we are unable to accept shared care prescribing arrangements. This is due to our responsibility to ensure the quality and continuity of care, which cannot be guaranteed under such circumstances. Should medication be recommended, prescribing responsibility must remain with the specialist team.
